Ann will be your host for the OUR TIME Women's Conference and will also share some personal thoughts in the opening session.

Ann is best known for her years as co-host, with her husband Ron, of Canada’s longest running daily TV show, 100 Huntley Street.  As well, she was the creator and host of Full Circle, a women’s TV talk show that aired for six years.  Ann regularly speaks at women's events, has a daily devotional radio segment on JOY Radio, and a daily podcast called Sincerely Yours, featured on FaithStrongToday.com.

Most recently, Ann and Ron have taken over leadership of Heart to Heart Marriage and Family Ministries, a stand-alone charitable ministry that helps couples learn how to do marriage God’s way.  Sharing from the lessons they’ve learned over their 33 years of marriage, as well as accumulated wisdom from others on the journey, they provide help to couples who are either in crisis or simply want to enrich the marriage they have through fun and engaging ways.

Ron and Ann conduct all day marriage seminars, host fun date nights, take couples’ road trips, host weekend getaways, and more!  They believe that whatever time you set aside to enrich your marriage will have a lasting impact, not only for today, but into the next generation as well.

Cheryl.png

Cheryl Weber

As Senior Executive Producer and Host of Canada’s longest running daily television program, 100 Huntley Street, Cheryl has had the privilege of telling incredible stories of need and life transformation from around the world. Her 20-year career as a journalist, director, producer and host has taken her from the top of Mount Kilimanjaro to some of the most desperate and remote places on the planet. She has spoken nationally and internationally on a variety of topics including women’s issues, social justice, overcoming fear and finding your destiny. Named as one of the top 100 female Christian women in Canada, she is honoured to have had her activism recognized with a Woman of Excellence Award for Raising Global Awareness and an International Women Achievers’ Media Award.  When she isn’t thinking about how to make great television, she loves to explore Canada on her bike or kayak in its peaceful waters.

Session Description:  "What do I Have to Offer?"  As women, we are experts at promoting our friends and disqualifying ourselves.  Particularly in this culture obsessed with youth and beauty, it’s hard to see what value we have to offer as life seasons change.  We are getting older, our kids may not need us anymore, perhaps we’ve retired or been a victim of downsizing, our marriage may be in trouble or maybe we’ve just always felt like we didn’t have much to offer.  In this session, we will identify the lies and fears that hold us back from all God has for us, and examine how to recognize what God is doing in this time of our lives.  You will leave encouraged and on fire for all that God has written in His book about you – before you were even born!

She and her husband have 3 adult children who have blessed them with 11 grandchildren.  She has appeared several times on 100 Huntley Street and has earned her Master's of Theology degree from Tyndale Seminary. Her stories will leave you laughing and crying but most importantly, changed.

Session Description:  "Making The Most Of The Mess I'm In"  Dealing with mood disorder/drug addiction in myself and my children.

Elizabeth.png

Elizabeth Pierce

Elizabeth is a wife, mother of two teen boys, and clinical social worker by profession.  She has worked for the same counselling agency since 1996, where she started as a therapist, and became the Executive Director in 2010.  When she is not at work, Elizabeth lives a busy life, full of children’s sporting events, serving in her church as a ministry leader and preacher, acting as Board Chair for Gather Women, speaking at women's events and spending time with the important people God has blessed her with.  Most importantly though, she is tenderly, yet passionately pursued everyday by a loving God, and wants to ensure that everyone else understands that they are too.

Session Description: "The Emotional Side of Things"  Life after 40 brings with it a new stage for us to navigate.  Often times we as women feel or have been told that the things we experience emotionally are "just in our head," and the impact of our changing hormones, life stage, moods, and ability to think clearly is invalidated and/or dismissed.  Consequently, it's not uncommon to be left trying to navigate some of these symptoms alone and even untreated...which is just where the enemy of our souls wants us… Isolated. Not anymore!  It’s time that we realize that women over 40 have so much to offer through life experience, wisdom and depth that can be shared to empower others.   We just need help to navigate some of the unexpected bumps (and bigger!) in this part of our journey. This workshop will explore some of the common emotional challenges women face after 40, and will discuss some practical and spiritual tools for coping, so that we are not sidelined by the changes we face at this stage, and so that we can live our lives to the full!

Julie.png

Julie Pickett

Julie is a professional makeup artist with 15 years of experience and is a graduate of George Brown College's Makeup Artistry Program.   Julie's specialty is makeup for Television, Print work and TV Ads.  Her work as Key Makeup Artist for 700 Club Canada and 100 Huntley Street can be seen across the nation daily.  She also has numerous clients including Wedding Parties, Professional Headshots and Special Events.  Julie also has a passion for serving others and sharing her journey as a single mom to her son, Jonah.

Session Description: "The Gifts Of Single Mothering" Ten years ago, Julie was newly separated, devastated, depressed and living with her two-year-old son in her parent’s spare bedroom.  It was the toughest period of her life, where she struggled with some big questions. Was this really God’s best for her? Why was she handed this life she didn’t choose? What was the path forward?  It was a long road of healing, but each step was pivotal in her faith journey and has truly transformed her to be the woman she is today.  During her breakout session, Julie will be sharing the Gifts of Single Parenting in an inspiring and interactive way to help empower other Moms going through a similar season in their lives.
